The Position

Due to continued growth and strategic expansion across the African market, our client is seeking a commercially driven Sales Manager to lead business development activities across the Sub Saharan Africa region.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing new customer relationships and managing existing business across fragrance applications within personal care, home care and household categories. The role requires a proactive and relationship-oriented commercial professional capable of operating independently while building long-term strategic partnerships across the region.

 

Key Responsibilities

· Drive commercial growth and business development activities across the Sub Saharan African fragrance market

· Develop and manage customer relationships across personal care, home care, household and related fragrance categories

· Identify and convert new business opportunities while strengthening existing regional accounts

· Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with wider business objectives

· Monitor market trends, customer activity and competitive developments across the territory

· Work closely with internal creative, technical and commercial teams to support customer projects and deliver tailored fragrance solutions

· Represent the business at customer meetings, industry events and trade exhibitions across the region

· Build long-term partnerships with distributors, manufacturers and regional consumer goods businesses

 

Candidate Profile

· Proven commercial sales experience within the fragrance industry

· Strong understanding of fragrance applications across personal care, home care and household markets

· Experience managing export or regional business development activities across African markets preferred

· Demonstrated ability to develop new business and grow strategic customer relationships

· Entrepreneurial, self-motivated and commercially focused mindset

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at multiple levels

· Ability to work independently within an international and fast-paced business environment

· Willingness to travel internationally across the region as required
