Role:

The company is now looking to hire an experienced Senior Flavourist with strong expertise across sweet and beverage flavour creation.

This position will play an important role within the flavour creation team, supporting customer projects across multiple beverage and sweet application categories while contributing to ongoing innovation and technical development activities within the business.

The successful individual will work closely with commercial, technical and application teams, taking ownership of flavour development projects from concept through to customer delivery.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop and create sweet and beverage flavour formulations aligned to customer briefs and market requirements
• Support flavour development activities across categories including beverages, confectionery, bakery, dairy and nutrition
• Collaborate closely with commercial, application and customer teams throughout development projects
• Modify and optimise existing flavour formulations based on customer feedback, cost targets and technical requirements
• Conduct flavour evaluation and sensory testing activities to ensure flavour quality and performance
• Maintain detailed formulation records and support documentation requirements
• Work closely with production and technical teams to support flavour scale-up and manufacturing activities
• Monitor market and consumer trends to support the development of innovative and commercially relevant flavour profiles
• Support customer visits, presentations and technical discussions when required

Key Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on flavour creation experience within sweet and beverage categories
• Strong technical capability across flavour formulation, raw materials and flavour balancing
• Experience developing flavours across multiple beverage and sweet application areas
• Ability to operate autonomously across customer projects within a commercial environment
• Previous experience working closely with commercial and application teams within the food and beverage industry
• Excellent sensory evaluation and flavour development capability
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience operating within a fast-paced customer-driven flavour environment
• Currently based in the UK or open to relocating within the UK
