Savoury Flavourist

The clients for the high quality, tailor-made flavour systems include well-known manufacturers from the savoury sector. The company´s high customer orientation is supported by competent research & development, application, marketing and sales teams. As a result of recent years´ growth the organisation now wishes to recruit a Flavourist (m/f) Savoury Flavours for our Asian Headquarter R&D centre in Singapore.

Responsibilities:

• Creation of savoury flavours for culinary applications based on internal and external briefings and own inspiration, including matching competitors´ flavours.
• Creation of flavours for seasonings, soups, sauces, and snack applications.
• Evaluation of flavouring substances & flavouring extracts and successful integration of same into innovative creations
• Responsibility for management of creation projects on an international level
• Provide technical support to sales and marketing, also by travelling within Asia
• Participation in sensory analysis and profiling
• Close co-operation with analytical, application, marketing, process engineering and sensory departments

Required Profile and Skills:

• Minimum 5 years’ successful experience in savoury flavour creation, preferably in Southeast Asia
• Previous experience with the creation of savoury flavours with modifying properties would be beneficial
• Excellent raw material knowledge
• Solid technical application knowledge in the areas of snack and soup sesonings and ideally other savoury applications
• Creative and self-confident with a deeper understanding of chemical, economic and legal aspects
• Willingness to travel within Southeast Asia and where necessary globally
• Fluent English communication skills are a must
