Role: The Commercial Lead - Health & Wellness will take ownership of the category, leading commercial strategy, driving revenue growth and strengthening key customer relationships across the business.

 

Reporting into senior leadership, this role sits at the centre of commercial activity, working closely with sales, product development, marketing and operations to align growth initiatives with wider business objectives.

 

This is a highly visible leadership role requiring both strategic direction and hands-on execution. The successful candidate will not only define and implement commercial strategy, but also actively engage with customers, support the team and drive business development activities.

 

The role also includes responsibility for building and developing the commercial team, creating a high-performance culture and ensuring alignment across regions and functions.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a clear commercial strategy for the health and wellness category, aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across key markets, driving revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic customers and partners, acting as a senior point of contact.
  • Lead, develop and expand the commercial team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative environment.
  • Drive key account management activities, ensuring long-term partnership development and customer retention.
  • Collaborate closely with product development, marketing and operations teams to align commercial and innovation strategies.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer needs to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Own forecasting, budgeting and performance tracking, ensuring delivery against commercial targets.
  • Represent the business at industry events, trade shows and key customer meetings.
  • Contribute to shaping the broader commercial direction of the business within the health and wellness space.

 

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior commercial or sales leadership role within health & wellness, sports nutrition or speciality ingredients.
  • Strong track record of delivering revenue growth and developing new business in B2B environments.
  • Deep understanding of key account management, strategic partnerships and solution-led selling.
  • Experience leading and developing commercial teams within an entrepreneurial or growth-focused environment.
  • Strong commercial and strategic thinking, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable plans.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with technical, marketing and operational teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on, with a proactive and results-driven mindset.
  • International market experience and an established network within the sector are advantageous.
